1 dead in Phoenix after being crushed by building materials
Police were called to the area near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road on Wednesday afternoon.
PHOENIX — A man is dead after being crushed by building materials in Phoenix, the city’s police department said.
Phoenix police officers responded to an injured person call near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday. When officers got to the area, they were directed to a body underneath a “load of building materials.”
The fire department responded and confirmed the man was dead.
Police said there were no signs of foul play and the case will be handled as a death investigation.
