Bye, Ugly Playroom Furniture. This Kid’s Play Couch Is Super Chic

As mom to a rambunctious toddler, I stand wholeheartedly behind play furniture. The low-profile is ideal for kids to easily get on and off (which is great for even the littlest crawlers) and removable covers are not just a want but a need when it comes to furniture purchases for parents. Not to mention all the fun kids have letting their imaginations go wild building different creations out of the furniture—something they definitely can’t do with any normal sofa! The only downside? They’re not exactly pretty.
Frankly, I can’t comment on whether your kids will care if their play furniture is pretty or not, but as a parent to a toddler who I’m not sure knows she’s left the womb she’s so attached, I personally spend a lot of time in my daughter’s playroom. So, I’ve tried to make the space one that I actually enjoy being in, and the chic new House of Noa play furniture is going to be a key element in the design.
The new House of Noa play furniture collection bridges the gap between fun and fancy, with each piece providing just as much entertainment for kids as it does aesthetic for your room. These pieces are honestly pretty enough to sit in your living room alongside your regular sofa.
The collection has a few different colorways that make it a great fit for just about any home—Coastal Style, Organic Neutrals, Cozy Romance, and Contempo Mod. The ivory/sand/mousse palette works great in homes that are filled with neutrals, whereas the poppy and rouge colorway is ideal if you want a pop of color. Personally, I lean towards the ivory and sky pieces, which feels gender-neutral in the best way. There are also tons of designs to choose from, including both horizontal and vertical stripes, a zebra print, checked pattern, florals, and solid bouclé.
And now on to the stuff your kiddos are here for: every different piece and all the configurations they can create. The anchor of the collection is The Seat ($249), which is a two-part platform cushion and half-circle backrest. The platform can be folded on top of itself to create a chair or laid flat to act as a cot. Sit two seats next to each other in the folded position to create a couch, with an option to buy two armrests ($79) for the sides. There’s also a round ottoman ($99) and oval coffee table ($189) in addition to a variety of throw pillows (starting at $39) to really level up your design.
The fabric covers on the pieces easily zip on and off and all are machine washable. You also have the option of purchasing a waterproof liner for the seat and armrests for extra protection.
The House of Noa play furniture is a tad more expensive than most other brands on the market, but if you also want to bring a little beauty to your playroom or if you’re looking for something that will blend well in your main living spaces, then this is a top designer choice.
