Car crashes into garage, shoves vehicle into kids’ playroom at Ky. home

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A woman was arrested after allegedly driving into a home in Wayne County.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s office says deputies were dispatched at around 9 p.m. Wednesday to a home on East Kentucky Highway 90 for a vehicle driving through a garage door, then leaving.
Deputies say the vehicle struck another vehicle parked inside the garage, pushing it into an interior wall of a children’s playroom, causing further damage.
There were two adults and three children inside the home at the time of the incident.
While driving to the scene, a deputy spotted a vehicle fitting the description of the fleeing vehicle. They say the deputy then conducted a traffic stop and verified that it was the vehicle involved.
Emily F. Coomer of Monticello was arrested and charged with five counts of wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, criminal mischief and a traffic violation.
She was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
